How to come to Bourg d'Oisans in Isère

To get to Oisans, it couldn’t be easier: Le Bourg-d’Oisans is only an hour away from Grenoble or 2 hours from Gap, and Briançon is only 38 km from La Grave.

If you are coming from further afield, you can catch a flight to Grenoble, Lyon or Geneva. Or opt for the train and a bus will take you from Grenoble train station to Le Bourg-d’Oisans.

By car

Follow the signs for Sisteron/Gap on the A480 motorway.
Take Exit n°8 “Vizille – Stations de l’Oisans“
Follow the N85 to Vizille then take the D1091 towards Briançon and carry on until you reach Le Bourg-d’Oisans.
Once you have passed Séchilienne, you are in Oisans.

Follow the D1091 towards Grenoble, via the Col du Lautaret mountain pass (2,057 m).

After “La Salle en Beaumont”, go right towards “Valbonnais > Col d’Ornon > Le Bourg-d’Oisans” (42 km).

Special equipment

From the end of October to the end of March, you are strongly advised to come here with the necessary special equipment.
For safety reasons, when the temperature is lower than 7°C, we recommend you use tyres that are suitable for the snow, for better grip.
If you don’t want to change your tyres before you come, make sure you at least have snow chains with you, as they are compulsory on some of our roads. A handy tip; place them on top of your suitcases so you don’t need to empty the car boot to find them.
